Jakhama, November 23 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) Men Fellowship 2018 Sports Meet got underway today here at Jakhama Local Ground with Rev. Zapovil Sophie, Sr. Pastor, Jakhama Baptist Church (JBC) offering a dedicatory prayer and declared the Sports Meet open by unfurling the flag.
Day 1 of the 2 days long meet witnessed round league football competition from among the 10 registered teams.
In group A, Lerie Sector Church defeated Chandmari-PWD-Town Area 2-0; Lower Forest defeated Jail-Para Medical 5-0; Lerie Sector Church and Old Minister’s Hill-Poterlane played a goalless draw; and Old Ministers’ Hill-Poterlane defeated Lower Forest 2-1.
Meanwhile, in Group B, AG Colony defeated Supply-PR Hill-Officers’ Hill 1-0; New Ministers’ Hill-Aradura and Agri-Electrical played a 1-1 draw; and Upper Forest-Science College defeated Supply-PR Hill-Officers’ Hill 1-0.
Day 2 will witness both the football competition and Tug of war to be commenced by 9:00.
