Dimapur, November 9 (MExN): The annual weeklong event of ‘CHILDLINE Se Dosti’ is underway in Dimapur since November 8.
CHILDLINE Se Dosti week is a campaign held across the country under the initiative of CHILDLINE India Foundation, with the aim to reach out and extend hands of friendship as well as create awareness on Child Rights and Child Protection Acts has started all over the country.
CHILDLINE Dimapur team, as partner and part of the friendship week, started by putting up CHILDLINE pamphlets and posters at all the major Traffic Police assistance kiosks of the town. The two day poster campaign was successful due to the positive and active support of the Dimapur Police Commissioner, who willingly gave permission to make usage of the Kiosks’ space free of charge. The campaign will continue till November 15 with various activities and programmes.
CHILDLINE in a press note has requested all concerned and discerning citizens, children as well as adults, to make diligent usage of the toll free CHILDLINE helpline no. 1098, which is manned 24x7, if they witness or are aware of children being abused, abandoned, missing, loitering around or in distress situations.
