Clean Election mission: White flags in houses, common platform for candidates in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, January 22 (MExN): The Core Implementation Committee (CIC) of ‘Achipiu Mlahnni – Amikucho Kikishe’ (Mission Doing Right – Clean Election) has resolved that white flag for Clean Election will be hoisted in every house of those who have decided to be part of Achipiu Mlahnni – Amikucho Kikishe.  

The resolution was made at the committee’s meeting held at SKK Ki, Zunheboto on January 22 while endorsing the NBCC’s December 12 resolution on Clean Election.  

Based on the Sumi Misshi Xakütha and CIC Pimhezah passed at the general rally on April 12, 2017 in Zunheboto, the meeting further informed all the villages, towns and constituency level CICs of Zunheboto district to prepare their own action plans according to their local requirements and submit the same to the apex CIC by January 31, a press release informed.  

The respective CICs will mobilise the volunteers for implementation of the action plans from among the Sumi Totimi Hoho, local students' unions and church youth, it stated.  

Meanwhile, it was decided that a common platform will be organized for all candidates to share their manifesto with the public on February 15 at their respective constituency headquarters. The same will be organized by respective range CICs.

  Further, a decision was made that Sumi church associations will organize a chain of prayer till the polling day.  

The meeting was attended by the officials of Sumi Hoho, Sumi Kukami Hoho, Sumi Totimi Hoho, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, church leaders, and CIC members.
