CMO Wokha informs

DIMAPUR, JULY 18 (MExN): The Chief Medical Officer Wokha today informed that the prohibition order on storage, distribution & sale of fresh fish products, imported or local, including Crustaceans, treated with formalin or any other form of preservative still stands until corrective measures are taken. He also cautioned against the sale of powdered spices & condiments except under packed conditions. “No food business operator shall manufacture, store, sell or distribute any article of food which is misbranded," the CMO added. Further the CMO cautioned against the sale of packaged drinking water except under the Bureau of Indian Standards Certification Mark & the display of FSSAI License number on the label. Failure to comply, necessary action as per the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2016, Rules & Regulations would be initiated against the defaulters, he added.
