DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 18 (MExN): The Emlo-to Public Organisation (EPO) has expressed dismay at the lackadaisical attitude of the state government with regard to the former’s representation submitted to the government on August 31 for immediate maintenance of CoCo-Doyang road i.e. from Pukhobokita to Kitsakita via Atoizu HQ. Therefore, the EPO has resolved to impose “complete restriction of vehicular movement indefinitely in the area (i.e. from Pukhobokita to Kitsakita Via Atoizu HQ)” starting September 26. It meanwhile appealed to the public to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience. A press note from the EPO informed that the road is in “extreme deplorable condition.” “The connecting road which serves as a life line to the people of the area has been deteriorating due to negligence and lack of proper strategies to tackle the problem by the concerned authority,” it added. No positive steps or response has been initiated by the concerned department even though the stipulated 15 days given time has been expired, it lamented.
