Peren, December 12 (MExN): Composite Farm School at Songlhuh Village under Ahthibung block, Pere was held on December 2 with T. Lankonsen Tsanglao, SDO (Civil) as chief guest along with village elders, Officer incharge Police (Ahthibung) and ATMA officials.
The programme was chaired by Oren Odyou, Convenor, ATMA Ahthibung block and keynote address basing on the concept of farm school was delivered by Lhaihoichong Singson, BTM.
Chief Guest T. Lankonsen Tsanglao encouraged the farmers about the subsidiary income through rabi crops in jhum and terrace field. Through the intervention of ATMA Peren, he further encouraged the farmers to take up agriculture on sustainable basis to enhance their livelihood. This was followed with a Vote of thanks by Neivah Hangsing, ATM.
The programme started with an invocation prayer by Khupthang, Farm School Teacher and closed with benediction by Neineng.
