Goa takes control against Nagaland on Day one
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 29 (MExN): The Nagaland under-19 team began their home match against Goa at the NCA Stadium in Sovima on November 29.
Winning the toss, Nagaland elected to field first as the wicket looked green. The Nagaland pace attack looked good and took 3 early wickets. But the visiting Goa team bounced back and took control of the first days play.
Goa managed to score 349 runs losing 6 wickets in 86 overs, till stumps of day 1. Mohit with 104 runs was Goa’s top scorer followed by with Kaushal 90 runs.
For Nagaland, Arjun and Rahul bagged two wickets each, while Hopongkyu and Ranjen took one each.
The match will resume from 8:00am on Saturday.
Earlier, the match was declared open by Nagaland Cricket Association president, Kichengulie Rio, who welcomed the match officials and the visiting team to Nagaland and extended best wishes to both the teams.
