Dimapur DPDB deliberates to take up tree plantation

Dimapur, January 7 (MExN): The first monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Dimapur district for the year 2019 was held on January 7 at the DC’s conference hall Dimapur.

Initiating the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS) welcomed the members and conveyed New Year wishes.

Member, Legislative Assembly Dimapur II, Moatoshi who was also present in the meeting, extended New Year wishes to all the members. He exhorted the officers under Dimapur district to join hands together and work for the betterment of Dimapur city. 

Towards this end, he suggested the DPDB members for taking up tree plantation in Dimapur reminding them to, ‘bring change in Dimapur because it is our city.’

He also advised the Board members for reviewing the activities of the societies before recommending for registration to the higher authority.

Taking note of the MLA’s suggestion for tree plantation, DC Dimapur informed that a committee would be constituted for tying up with the line departments and execution part would be discussed in the next DPDB meeting.

In the meeting the Board members also recommended the proposal for upgradation of Government High School at Thahekhu to Higher Secondary school. For registration of societies, the Board recommended Duansu Welfare Society, UNB Naga colony Burma camp and grand in aid for Living Bread welfare society, Padampukhuri Village Dimapur and Rev. Longsa Memorial Orphanage, Kevijau colony Dimapur.  Work distribution pertaining to Republic day celebration was also discussed in the meeting.
