Educated unemployed youths attend basic beekeeping training

Wokha, May 15 (MExN): One day basic beekeeping training was conducted by Nagaland Beekeeping & Honey Mission on May 11 for the Women’s Welfare Group of 7th NAP Bn and Mhangka Okho Society, a group comprising of educated unemployed youths at 7th NAP Battalion Headquarters, Bhandari.  

The training was conducted to promote bee keeping and also encourage the women and educated unemployed youths to take up beekeeping as a profitable enterprise to earn additional income. A practical demonstration on colony division and identification on caste of bees and brood, working with brood and super chambers and routine management was also conducted for the trainees.  

Mhabemo Yanthan, Secretary and Team Leader, Nagaland Beekeeping & Honey Mission along with Team Members of the mission were the resource persons for the training.  

Mhalo NPS, Deputy Commandant of 7th NAP Bn also spoke during the occasion.
