ENCSU supports ANCSU demand

Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has extended its solidarity to the demand made by All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) to the Government of Nagaland.

ENCSU Chairperson, Longre Chang and Joint Secretary, Nokchem Angth in a press release expressed surprise to see “many government officials playing with the student’s life.” The Union stated that education should be the main priority of the government and it should not be politicized.

The ENCSU observed that government is failing to take action against erring officials and it is shame on the part of government to protect the guilty and letting the innocent students suffer.

The union also alleged that the education system in the state is already paralyzed. “When people are fighting for a single seat in technical and medical field, the Government of Nagaland has a good hospitality to offer to the outsiders because of reasons best known by them,” it added.

It further asked all the colleges within its jurisdiction to follow ENCSU direction as the parent body of college students and also asked other organizations “not to interfere in any activities of the ENCSU without having proper communication.”
