ENSF rejects DoSE’s reply; to go ahead with agitation

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 20 (MExN): Rejecting the response from the Department of School Education (DoSE) on the Maths and Science subject examination issue, the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) on Friday said the proposed phase-wise agitation slated to begin from October 23 onwards will go ahead as scheduled.

The decision to this was taken during an emergency meeting held with the 6 federating units on Friday after deliberating on the letter received from DoSE, a press statement received from Sepili L Sangtam, president and Imtichoba Change, general secretary ENSF informed.

The Federation pointed out that the contents of the letter received from the department totally sidelined the 2009 government notification which is the core demand of the ENSF.

In this connection, the Federation has appealed the citizens of Kohima to bear the inconvenience caused during the period of agitation. Further, the Federation also requested all the Eastern Nagas residing in and around Kohima and Dimapur to be physically present and support the Federation in their fight to safeguard the rights and interest of the Eastern Nagas.
