Our Correspondent Kohima | October 5 Esii United FC Manipur and KVNS today registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing18th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2017 here. KVNS edged Speartex FC Kohima 4-3 via a tie breaker after both teams were locked in a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation time. Kedoneizo Zhale opened the scoring for KVNS in the 15th minute before Kekhrieseto Khro equalized 12 minutes later for Speartex. Kedokhoto Nagi then restored the lead for KVNS in the 39th minute but a relentless Speartex saw Shamba Samson Konyak equalized again in the 67th minute. In the second match of the day, Esii United FC came from behind to beat Butchers’ Union FC 2-1. Mhasibeituo opened the account for Butchers’ Union early on in the 8th minute of the first half. But two goals from A. Kapani – one in the 35th minute and another in the 59th minute – ensured Esii United FC came through as winners.
