Zunheboto, May 26 (MExN): The Adhoc Town Council Naltoqa has urged the Government of Nagaland to establish an EAC Office in Naltoqa for all round development of the area.
In a memorandum, the Town Council stated that Naltoqa Suruhuto in Zunheboto was established in the year 1989 and at present, there are 310 houses with the 8th NAP Bn HQ also situated in the area.
The Town Council maintained that Naltoqa has not yet been recognized and so does not get any facilities from the Government.
An application to establish EAC Office was put up but the file is lying on the table of cabinet, the Town Council disclosed. “Even after a decade no positive response came from the Government and the public of Naltoqa has been suffering and facing a lot of problems since 27 years,” the memorandum stated.
