Imlirenla Jamir will be making history by becoming the first Naga to participate in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Senior Championships 2017 at Kochi which is being held from September 11 to 17. Earlier this year, she booked a berth in the championship by securing the women’s singles runner-up in the 41st Masters National Badminton Championship. Drawn in Group D, Imlirenla will play Russia’s Olga Arkhangelskaya and Japan’s Kaoru Takeuchi on September 12.
