District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Zunheboto with the participants at Yemishe Village, Zunheboto District
Dimapur, March 21 (MExN): A round of awareness program on HIV/AIDS was successfully conducted by District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Zunheboto under the guidance of Dr.Hokishe, Dy.CMO, Dr.Akaho, Sr.MO, Dr.Kanato,ART Centre,Zunheboto for VDBs Urban local bodies and Village Council members in three villages namely Sukhalu, Surumi and Yemishe on March 12, 13, and 15, 2011.
A press note issued by District Program Officer, District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Zunheboto informed that the Village leaders were sensitized on various topics like basic of HIV/AIDS, STI, Condom (in the context of STI ,HIV ,reinfection ,discordant couple), stigma and discrimination, services available, Care and Support for PLHIV’s .
The resource person for the program were Dr.Akaho,Sr.MO,Mr.Hokishe,ICTC, Supervisor, Ikali,STI,Counsellor,Inatoli,ART, Nurse,Visheli,ART, CareCoordinator, Kiviholi, Counsellor, Suruhuto,Toqheli,Accountant,DAPCU.
