The GPRN/NSCN, under the Leadership of Chairman Gen. (Retd.) M.B Neokpao Konyak and General Secretary N Kitovi Zhimomi has restrained itself from responding to callous and factually incorrect write-ups in order to avoid allegations within the Naga family, yet the NSCN (IM) propaganda department called the MIP, continue to feed the people of Nagaland with outrageous political assumptions more so, post August 3 Accord 2015. The habitual foot-in-the-mouth syndrome and the bizarre ritual of crowning and garlanding itself at every media release, undermining all past historical milestones of our forefathers, makes the acknowledged audience grimace and chuckle in sheer embarrassment and shame. Their agenda is to bombard the tribes of Nagaland with ever changing political terminologies with a hope that a lie told many times over would, in the end, be taken as the truth.
Indeed the truth must be told with regard to the publication on 18th 2016, which implicated the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser of GPRN/NSCN N Kitovi Zhimomi as having changed tracks in the Naga Reconciliation process. God does not punish sinners instantly even those who use His Glorious name for political gain yet mere humans as we are, it requires prompt response from GPRN/NSCN because the future of the Naga people cannot be built upon lies and deceit.
The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), with the signing the Covenant of Reconciliation by Naga political groups, officially recorded all highest level meetings for posterity. The MIP of Hebron camp should check visual and audio recordings of Mr. Th. Muivah, at 4th Mile Dimapur Agri Expo meeting in February 2012, who announced in front of almost fifty thousand Naga people gathered there that Sovereignty was not possible and Integration of Naga areas was out of question at a present time. Ato Kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi later said in the same meeting that even dogs, cows and pigs in Nagaland wants independence however the present circumstances and difficulties of Mr. Th. Muivah, should be understood by all Nagas and therefore it requires Nagas of Burma, Nag, of Manipur, Nagas of Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal to consult the people and seek the best solution for our people in our respective domains while maintaining our rich culture and traditions through emotional integration. This is the position of the GPRN/NSCN. Should the MIP of Hebron Camp requires more proof, the audio-visual recordings of Niathu Resort meetings, in 2012-13, Oriental Theological Seminary (OTS) meetings in 2013-14 are available. Mr. Th. Muivah consistently maintained that Naga Sovereignty and integration is not possible. In other words Nagas of Nagaland cannot decide the future of Naga, living in Myanmar or in Manipur likewise other Nagas cannot decide the future of Nagas of Nagaland.
Naga Reconciliation process also lost its momentum because of the non-disclosure of the charter of demands of NSCN (IM) despite repeated appeal for honest deliberations on the subjects by Naga leaders from other political groups. All the FNR members are alive and know the fact. Conventional wisdom says Mr. Th. Muivah rightly did not disclose the contents of the charter of demands to the Naga people at FNR meetings because Naga political groups and all rational thinking Nagas would never endorse such an arrangement. Naga Reconciliation process and Naga unity denotes open mind and heart to jointly pursue a clear political goal. To NSCN (IM), it implies all Naga political groups either surrender or unconditionally support their talk. A number of gullible and garrulous honey chasing civil society leaders and national workers have been trapped and appointed cheap spokespersons of Hebron camp in a chameleon-like existence. This is very unfortunate because Naga history will jeer and taunt their children.
GPRN/NSCN, over the years has noticed that the name of Mr. Isak Chishi Swu is used only to seek credibility in Nagaland and to cover up diabolic policies of the group. It is foolish to sell his moral integrity to the people. He is a prayerful elderly man desiring true unity and reconciliation of all Nagas while the rest of the IM leadership plots how to enslave or destroy Nagaland. All should remember that Nagas are capable of rejecting treacherous accords and documents that do not correctly reflect their history and political right. Mrs. Eustar Chishi Swu, one of the longest serving women national workers and wife of Chairman Isak Chishi Swu, on 25th November, 2015, issued a press statement seeking forgiveness for the 'sins of omission and commission committed before God and the Naga people' and for 'signing wrong documents, which have caused havoc and disturbances in the life of the people and the nation' This was a genuine attempt of a Naga mother, a faithful wife and a true patriot seeking reconciliation from the heart. Unfortunately the next day, the MIP issued a statement rubbishing the lady's heartfelt appeal.
GPRN/NSCN reminds the Government of India (GoI) that the present Nagaland state is not a discarded land inhabited by fools to allow every Toni, Dick and Harry to claim ownership. It belongs to indigenous Naga tribes with clear demarcated boundary with great loyalty to their ancestral homeland. Naga tribes live in peace and harmony and co-exist with communities of neighbouring states. Nagaland's future and existence cannot be decided by a friendly neighbour or a group of immigrants supported by local thugs. The parties trying to decide the future of Nagaland without the consent of the people should clearly know the ramifications. The GPRN/NSCN exists because Nagaland has a future and the younger generations of the soil shall live in their God given land with pride.
