DIMAPUR, JULY 1 (MExN): The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) in a meeting held on Saturday has resolved to demand the Nagaland State Government to immediately transfer the Deputy Commissioner of Longleng district as was promised by the Cabinet Sub-Committee. It also decided to urge the government to immediately release compensation to those injured at Longleng on January 31 firing as was assured by the Cabinet Sub-Committee. It identified the injured person as Atachumba of Yachem Village, Huktong of Kakching village, Sunglom of Hukphang village, Toshiba of Akhoya village, Longchen of Orangkon village, Bauong of Yanchen village, Pongchet of Yanchem village, Sanlom of Yachem village, C Denngoi of Taugha P village. The JCC at the meeting also set up a Memorial Construction Committee. It has also requested tribal hohos who are yet to submit opinions/proposals for review of Nagaland municipal Act to JCC to submit the same for onward proceeding and submission to the government on or before July 15, 2017.
