JD (U) supports demand for Frontier Nagaland

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): The Janata Dal (United) has decided to support the demand of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) for a separate state of Frontier Nagaland.

“Although, it could not be included in the release of the party's manifesto on the 8th February 2018, yet, the support for Frontier Nagaland will become an addition to the manifesto already released,” a press note from the JD (U) said.

It assured all the people who are within the ambit of ENPO that the JD (U) is committed to sincerely support their demand for statehood. The party viewed that the demand is “justified in so far as the geographical location as well as the disparity in term of development is concern.”

It further made clear that “this support is not a politically motivated approach but is based on the genuine consideration and also to fulfill the party theme of contest Development with Justice.” The JD (U) mentioned that the state of Jharkhand which was a part of Bihar was granted separate state with active support of the party.
