Kigwema Women Society launches daily market

The Kigwema Women Society launched its daily market at Kipfüzou, Kigwema, at the National Highway on September 23.

The market which was inaugurated by Vikhweno Chale, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Medziphema, will sell organic vegetables and food products produced by the farmers especially women farmers in Kigwema and at same time it also hopes to cater to the growing need of promoting a healthy lifestyle through organic products.  

During the inaugural, ADC Vikhweno Chale acknowledged the efforts of the women society and encouraged that despite being a small initiative, it is a big step for the village. Chale also stressed on the growing population and the increasing consumers in the State, which will ultimately lead to more food production. Therefore, Chale expressed hope that the farmers will contribute towards this growing need.  

Present at the inaugural was MLA Vikho-o Yhoshü who urged the Society to maintain the market well which will enable better sales and benefit the grassroot entrepreneurs in the village.
