Kohima to host anti-tobacco awareness concert

Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): The Perseverance Club Kohima (PSK) in partnership with Kohima Science College (KSC) will be hosting an ‘Acoustic Musical Concert’ on the theme “Awareness on Tobacco Consumption through Act and Music” on October 25. The concert will be held at APO Hall, opposite Oking Hospital, Kohima.  

A press release informed that the concert is being organised in order to instill a sense of healthier and cleaner environment among the youngsters.  

‘Choose Life, Not Tobacco,’ is the loud and clear message of concert and based on the slogan of National Tobacco Control Programme,” stated the release issued by KSC Students’ Council General Secretary Vimeyiekho Vitso and PSK Secretarty Atouzo Kerhü-o.  

The concert will feature diverse artists such as Tutu Terhuja, Thejasenuo Kire, Aring, Deizelhou Sothu, Exhibit Band SJC, Little Flower School, Zonimong and Dreamz Unlimited.  

The District Tobacco Control Cell Kohima, a co-partner of the event, will also give a PowerPoint presentation on the theme of the day.  

The organisers will also be reaching out to villages in the next phase of its initiation for awareness on tobacco consumption, the release added.
