DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): The Kohima Lotha Hoho has expressed concern at the election related violence in Wokha district and stated that “no amount of justification by any individual or organization can absolve violence because violence is violence.” “It is painful to note that the other day sporadic violence was reported in 38-Wokha constituency and today it is at 37-Tyui A/C. We hope and pray that such narrow minded activities do not occur at any other place,” a press note from the Kohima Lotha Hoho said. It said that the hoho is “not in favour of any candidate or political party.” “Our one and only concern is that violence has no place in any reasonable society for the fact that violence is not only a result of narrow mindedness and vested interest but an exhibition of one’s intolerant attitude. And such mentality will only bring disgrace to oneself and society,” it added. The Kohima Lotha Hoho appealed to the candidates and their party workers not to allow their perpetuation of violence.
