Zunheboto, March 9 (MExN): The 9th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting for Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Zunheboto was held on March 5 in the conference hall of Nagaland University, Lumami under the chairmanship of Prof. P. Lal, Vice Chancellor, NU.
Sr. Scientist and Head KVK, NU in a press release informed that Annual Progress Report was presented by Sentimenla, Subject Matter Specialist (Soil Science), who highlighted the activities carried out by the KVK during the year 2017-2018. Action plan for the year 2018 to 2019 was presented by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Charasia, Senior Scientist and Head NU, KVK.
Kakuto from Litta New village and Ghukhev from Aotsakilü village delivered feedback on behalf of the farmers.
Prof. P. Lal, Vice Chancellor, NU in his concluding remarks said, “We should be honest to ourselves and should work for the upliftment of farmer’s community. All the agri. and allied departments should come forward to common platform to address the issue of farmers so that we can suggest suitable location specific technologies to enhance the profitability of farmers.”
