‘Lavender’s Club Garden’ inaugurated

A recreational spot called “Lavender’s Club Garden” was inaugurated here this morning at Lower T. Khel, near Don Bosco School. “Lavender’s Club Garden” is the initiative of 16 strong members Lavender’s Club based at T. Khel, Kohima village. It was inaugurated by T. Khel Council chairman Thepfuvilie Suohu.   Suohu maintained that Lavender’s Club Garden would go a long way in beautifying T. Khel in particular and Kohima village in general. It would also draw the attention of the bright young minds to learn to appreciate as well as to conserve environment.  

Stating that Lavender’s Club focuses towards the well being of the society through philanthropic activities, he said their social services would positively take the society forward. Lavender’s Club president Kevizelhou Jacob Solo said the club decided to come up with Lavender’s Club Garden in commemoration of its silver jubilee, which was celebrated in 2017. He expressed gratitude to land owner Dr. Neikhrielie Solo for extending a land to the club and accomplished its desire. Dr. Neikhrielie Solo and others also planted saplings of ornamental tree within this garden. Officials from state’s tourism department also graced the occasion.  

Vote of thanks was proposed by Lavender’s Club treasurer Ketsuse Belho. The programme concluded with “25th Lavender’s Club Monsoon feast.”
