The proponents of the cry for, “Solution before Election” and, “Solution not Election” are in danger of fast using up the letters of the English Alphabet, in all its various permutations and combinations. The latest acronym seems to be C.C.N.T.H.C.O., a mouthful indeed! This so-called Solution has become the Naga equivalent of the mythical El Dorado, the Legendary City of Gold that drove the Spanish Conquistadores.
So, to save those fools from further embarrassment, and to give the English Alphabet a rest, I’ll give you the “Solution” you so desperately seek in two, easy, numbered steps:-
STEP ONE: - Get the 60 or 59 representatives that presently occupy our State Legislature, to resign. You’ll get Presidential Rule immediately.
STEP TWO: - Stop candidates from filing nominations for the imminent Assembly Elections, and any future Election. Presidential Rule will continue and you’ll have the peaceful atmosphere and all the time you need to find your “Solution”.
The answer to the time you need to find your ‘Solution’ lies with the very people who are paying you in cash, kind and favours.
You don’t need the people of Nagaland for what you seek, nor do we need you. Give us, the newspapers, the Indians who are sniggering behind our backs at our idiocy and the English Alphabet a break! I would advise all thinking Nagas to read Dr. Tialiba Longkumer’s article (With or without election; the fight against corruption must go on); for the solution to our problem lies in eradicating Corruption from our mindsets. For our Bureaucrats, our Politicians, our Social and Tribal Organisations, our Churches and our “Freedom Fighters” are all corrupted.
