Kohima, December 4 (MExN): The 41 Assam Rifles on Sunday recovered a total of 1125 cases of illegal Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth approximately Rs 25.38 lakhs from a truck in Lalmati area under Kohima district.
According to a defence press release, the recovery was made after the AR established a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) along with a police representative during which it intercepted a suspicious truck bearing Regd No NL07A 7181. The recovered IMFL includes 585 cases of McDowell’s Rum, 455 cases of Kingfisher can Beer and 85 cases of Tuborg Beer.
In this connection, three persons identified as Injamul Sokve, Mahadil Islam and Rawbul Hussain were apprehended and later handed over to Sechu Zubza Police Station, Kohima District along with the recovered IMFL for further investigation.
