Energy conservation seminar

Kohima, November 22  (MExN): The Nagaland State Designated Agency and Petroleum Conservation Research Association, Government of India will be organizing energy conservation seminar on “Energy conservation techniques in industries” on November 23 at 10:30 AM at Hotel Cimorcb, Kohima, L. Kire, commissioner & secretary power will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The resource persons of the seminar included; K.L. Bhutia, deputy director PCRA.ER, S. Mohanta, joint director PCRA ER. A screening of film on global warming will also mark the seminar.

Youth Festival 2011 from today

Kohima, November 22 (DIPR): The 12th State Level Youth Festival 2011 will be held on November 23 and 24 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports and Land Revenue, Naiba Konyak will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony on 23rd November at 9:30 a.m. According to the programme, martial art display will be given by IGS taekwondo students. Phek contingents will give a special number. The programme will be chaired by Director Youth Resources & Sports, Kelei Zeliang.

Land Owners Pattadras of Dimapur informed


Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): The executive meeting of the Land Owners Pattadras of Dimapur whose lands are under the occupation of the army will be held on November 26 at 11:00 am at JK hospital, Burma Camp, Dimapur. All the office bearers and executive members are requested to attend the meeting without fail. Also members who have not submitted the contribution are requested to submit the same on or December 15 to Dr LA Kikon, JK hospital, Dimapur and executive member Vizolie Angami, Taxi stand, Tin Pati, Kohima and contact at 8974452812. VDBs & VCCs refresher course in Kiphire

Kiphire, November 22 (MExN):
A two days VDBs & VCCs under Capacity building (BRGF) commenced today at the Hopongkyu memorial hall with VDB’S &VCC’S from Kiphire district. Topic like scientific approaches in poultry rearing, practice and packaging of mushroom cultivation Right to Education Act, and community involvement in HIV/AIDS were discussed with the participants. On all the topics a healthy discussion and question were put forward where the resource persons answered the queries.

CGOK annual meet on November 26

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): Chakhroma Gazette Officers Khrotho (CGOK) first annual meet cum picnic will be held on November 26 at valley view Tsiepama at 10 am. Dr. Kelesekho Tsukru General Secretary, CGOK has requested to all the Chakhroma gazette officers to attend the meeting without fail. During the meeting Angami officers of Chakhroma, both in service and retired personal are requested to register themselves as bonafide CGOK members.

Health camp at Zuketsa PHC on Nov 25

Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): Directorate of Family Welfare & Mission Director (NRHM) is organizing health camp at Zuketsa PHC on November 25. A press note received here informed that health services such as mother child health, family planning, ophthalmic, dental, general, lap facilities for malaria, enteric & scrub typhus, health awareness and medicines will be provided. A team of doctors and paramedics from directorate and NHAK will attend the camp. Visiting team members will include Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru J.D. (NRHM), Dr. John Kemp SSO (IDSP), Dr. Kevi Sekhose, MO (IDSP), Dr. Phyantsutnag, NHAK, Dr. W.C Nyethe, NHAK, Dr. Atoshe, NHAK and two OT Nurses from NHAK. All are informed to come and avail the services.

KCCI informs on Night Carnival 2011

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): With the ensuing Hornbill Festival from December 1 to 7, 2011 the Kohima Chambers of Commerce and Industry will be organizing the Kohima Night Carnival 2011. President k. Kesao, KCCI in a press note has requested all interested participants to collect the forms from the KCCI office, outh gate local ground. November25, 2011 will be the last date for submission of forms and selected participants will be informed through local dalies.

KMC notifies on workshops/garage

Kohima, November 22 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has found out the vehicles and repairing workshop/garage and servicing centre along the stretch from high school junction to civil secretariat are unkempt and unregulated with temporary structures which are unsightly giving an ugly look to the VVIP roads. CEO, KMC Elizabeth Ngully, in a press release has stated that as per the Home commissioner Nagaland letter on October 27, 2011, the KMC has directed the owner/proprietors of the establishment to compulsorily maintain a brick wall of a suitable height (Minimum 6 ft) between the road and the workshop and to paint the wall in Red and White color within 30 days from the date of issues of this notice. It added that on failure to comply with this notice, necessary action will be taken as deem fit.

Kohima College 2009 batch reunion

Kohima, November 22 (MExN):
The Kohima College Kohima 2009 batch organizes reunion programme to be held on November 26 at the Institute of World Language (Old Kohima College Campus) at 11: 00 am under the theme “Anchoring Each other”. The organizers invited agendas for the discussion hour and also requested all the members to attend the programme positively. The programme will be chaired by Kedoroko Casavi while invocation will be pronounced by Achiba Kichu. NSACS Ambassador, Kenei Chale will present special number while five minutes time is allotted to any person who desire to reminiscence “those were the days” and Khruhizo Dozo will propose benediction.

Kohima Surumi Community informs

Dimapur, November 22 (MExN):
The Kohima Surumi Community has reaffirmed and informed the general public for awareness and for necessary action of its standing resolution dated 18-07-1993 article no-15. KSC general secretary K Shikheto Aye in a press note stated that henceforth, the members of Surumi Community, Kohima will not be responsible nor bear any consequences for thefts or other criminal offences committed by any person from the Surumi community.
