Kohima, April 27 (MExN): Maj Gen US Dadu of the Corps of Engineers has taken over as the Additional Director General (ADG) of National Cadet Corps Directorate, North Eastern Region (NER) in Shillong. The General was transferred from the College of Military Engineering, Pune where he was the Dean and Deputy Commandant of the College and held many prestigious appointments during his illustrious career.
Maj Gen US Dadu has expressed his gratitude to the State Governments of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura for the support and assistance to the premiere youth organisation of the country and is sanguine of continued support from the State Governments to NCC in future. Also, the ADG has expressed his appreciation in particular to the energetic youth of the North East for their whole hearted response and commitment towards NCC activities in the region. The ADG has exhorted the officers, staff, soldiers, civilians, teachers and students in NCC in North East Region to strive for excellence towards the achievement of overall NCC goals.
