Imphal, March 25 (NNN): Maring organizations have opposed the proposal for creation of new sub-division headquarters at Sita village. Rilram Area Maring Organisation (RAMO), Maring Yanglu Khobung Organisation (MAYAKHO), Khole Bungbi Development and Action Committee (KBDAC), and Rilram Sports Association (RMSA) condemned the order reportedly issued by the SDO, Tengnoupal dated March 19, 2018 in pursuance of letter No. 30/12/2017-R dated 14/03/2018 from Revenue Department Government of Manipur related to petition for creation of Sita sub-division by chief of Sita village. “The petition is on his interest and it was done without the consent and knowledge of the surrounding villages,” they asserted. The Maring organizations then appealed to the competent authorities to suspend the said “enquiry process” immediately. “Further, the government of Manipur shall take the responsibility for any untoward incident occurred if the enquiry and creation of sub-division process is initiated,” they warned.
