Meghalaya CM interacts with civil services fellows

An interaction session with Meghalaya Chief Minister’s Civil Services Fellows was held in ALS MIIT Campus, Shillong on January 25.

 


It was attended by more than 150 IAS aspirants who are sponsored for UPSC Coaching by Government of Meghalaya.

 


Chief Minister Conrad Sangma interacted with the students and said that it was his father’s dream to have more representation from Meghalaya in civil services.

 


He stressed on the need for reaching out to the remotest areas of Meghalaya to find the needy and deserving candidates with talent who can be an asset to the nation.

 


He also mentioned that training for civil services which the candidates are undergoing will help them in overall transformation with respect to knowledge, personality and skill set which will help them clear other competitive exams too.

 


The initiative taken by the Chief Minister has given opportunity to more than 200 talented, needy and deserving IAS aspirants of the State in the past two years to undergo training at the two authorized ALS learning centers in Shillong and Tura.

 


He was positive that the initiative taken up by the Government will produce results in UPSC from Meghalaya in the coming years.
