Mkg district observes World Blood Donors Day

Mokokchung, June 14 (DIPR): Mokokchung district in collaboration with Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital organised the World Blood Donors Day on June 14 with the theme ‘Blood connects us all: Share Life, Give Blood’ at 44th Assam Rifles Hospital Mokokchung, with Col. B N Nayak Commanding Officer 44 AR as chief guest. DPO, District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit Mokokchung, Makshi gave a brief account on the significance of the day. He said that blood is needed by all, irrespective of creed, clan and colour the only thing is that the type or group of blood is the only difference.   DIO NIC Mokokchung, Er. Temsuwati Ao who is also a member of the Mokokchung District Blood Donors Association (MDVBDA) appreciated the Jawans of 44th  Assam Rifles who willingly donated their blood, “You have a lot of practical experiences about the urgent needs of blood everyday and you know that your blood can save the lives of hundreds,” said Er. Temsuwati Ao. Mokokchung District Voluntary Blood Donors Association (MDVBDA), President Molo Jamir gave the motivational talk. A total of 65-70 including Commanding Officer Col BN Nayak donated their blood.
