Mother India has lost a great son, says Biren Singh

Manipur Chief Minister, N Biren Singh has expressed profound grief at the demise of former Union Minister Arun Jaitley.

 

In his condolence message, Biren Singh said, "On behalf of the State Government and the people of Manipur, I express my profound grief at the demise of Arun Jaitley ji". Biren also said, "Words leave me in this moment of sadness."

 

Biren also said that "Mother India" has lost a great son.

 

A stalwart of the BJP, Arun Jaitley distinguished himself with his administrative acumen in the Governments of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi, the Manipur Chief Minister added.

 

According to Biren Singh, Arun Jaitley was a man respected across party lines. Biren also said that Arun Jaitley was one of the greatest orators of "our times". He was a brilliant strategist, a distinguished lawyer, an eminent intellectual, an outstanding parliamentarian and a great leader, the Manipur Chief Minister added.

 

The Chief Minister then stated, "It will be truly difficult to fill the void left by his absence. The people of Manipur join me in standing with the family of the great leader and his well-wishers in this hour of grief. I pray that God may shower the bereaved family with the strength to withstand the loss".
