For the third time, a mega open angling competition was held at Musu Angling Club, Hoito village on Thursday.
The angling competition was jointly organised by Musu management and Like Minded Anglers of Dimapur where anglers from different district and neighbouring Assam took part.
The winner of the competition in the main category was Hopson who walked away with a Bullet 350 cc, while second and third positions were bagged by Along and Sujit respectively. They walked away with Bajaj Discover 125 and Honda Activa respectively.
Consolation prizes including cash and gift hampers were also given to 15 top anglers.
First catch of the day prize went to John. In the team category Musu Cub won the first position with a total catch of 4.2 kilos, second prize was bagged by Mokochung Anglers and Assam Game Fishing Association was placed third.
On the occasion, car stickers of the Like Minded Anglers was also launched.
NSCN (R) Vice President, Akato Chophy in his brief address said that angling is not about business but to let the anglers have fun and get to know each other and create a bond of brotherhood.
