Kohima, October 25 (MExN): The NAAC consultative meeting with IQAC-team, Kohima College was held at Pfütsero Government College on October 25.
According to a press release received here, Principal, Dr. Moanochet Longchar gave a brief summary of the College affairs, both administration and development. Central Evaluation System adopted in the college for efficient function was also highlighted in his report.
Vice Principal, Pfutsero Government College, Lalboi Singsit highlighted the progress and development of the college and mentioned the background of the college IQAC cell. IQAC was formed in 2013 with Dr. Watijungshi Jamir, ex- Principal, PGC, to meet the UGC standard for NAAC.
In addition, he was thankful that during his tenure as officiating Principal, the college introduced Sociology Department and also managed to acquire the 2 (f) statuses for the college. Keeping in mind, the need for NAAC credit, he proposed for a separate NAAC cell for all evaluation works. Few areas that need immediate attention is the release of college journal, efficient functioning of tutorial counseling, PTA, Alumni etc. Achievements targeting NAAC criteria’s were also highlighted including the developmental works of the new college site.
Each department delivered their reports and raised vital queries which were well responded by the NAAC IQAC team, Kohima College. The consultative meeting was followed by reviews, opinions, guidance, feedbacks and suggestion by the IQAC team, Kohima College led by the Principal, Dr. Watijungshi Jamir, Kohima College.
