Nagaland Adolescent Girls’ Club rewards successful students

Kohima, May 24 (MExN): Nagaland Adolescent Girls’ Club under the aegis of the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board organized a felicitation programme under the theme ‘There is no substitute for hard work’ on May 24.  

SRCW Media Cell in a press release stated that the programme was held at Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima to felicitate the young members of NAGC girls for their success in HSLC and HSSLC examination this year. Altogether 129 students were awarded certificates of excellence from different NAGC schools.  

The Assistant State Coordinator SRCW, R. Juliana Medom exhorted the girls on the theme saying that “Hard work starts from the day you get your results. Your hard work starts towards a career that you want to go.” Medom further expounded to the invites that the NAGC has been initiating programmes such as friendship fellowships, awareness drive on Child Sexual Abuse, programmes on career guidance, skill development, cleanliness drives and the Good Samaritan work, where the AGC girls go and take care of the elderly.  

Project Manager of National Minorities Development & Finance Cooperation, Asalie Alex Kruse;State Coordinator of Nagaland State Legal Service Authority, Akumla Longchari; DSP of State Vigilance Department, Kevisonuo Yhome and Bank Manager of HDFC, Lanu Jamir were the invitees for the programme.  

The Research Officer, SRCW, Meneno V chaired the programme. The Associate Pastor of Freedom Church Kohima, Neivolieü Solo Jamatia pronounced the innovation prayer. A special song titled, ‘Sovereign Lord’ was presented by Mezavinuo Pucho, AGC member of Mewi School and vote of thanks was given by the NAGC Coordinator, Medochünuo Chielie.
