Nagaland BJP organizing secretary meets LK Advani

Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Organising Secretary Ananta Mishra held an interaction with LK Advani on May 15 in New Delhi.  

A press release from Media Cell, BJP Nagaland unit stated that many vital issues pertinent to the North East and Nagaland State were deliberated.  

Advani recalled the past BJP State presidents, NC Zeliang and Dr N Rhetso and former North East Organising Secretaries, PB Acharya and P Chandrashekara Rao and stated “they contributed immensely for the organisation during the hard and hostile times when strong sentiments prevailed against the Party.”  

Lal Khrishna Advani was the first BJP All India General Secretary in 1980 and served as BJP President for 3 times and 7th Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004 under Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He is one of the co-founders and senior leader of BJP, the release added.  

He also conveyed his greetings and congratulated the BJP legislators and the Nagaland karyakartas/workers for the hard labour in the recently concluded 13th State Legislative Assembly election and also lauded Y Patton for becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland in the PDA government.  

Advani further condoled the demise of senior BJP leader, K Medom Angami and extended solace and prayer to the bereaved family.
