Nagaland Indigenous Peoples Forum formed

Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): A new organization under the nomenclature of Nagaland Indigenous Peoples Forum (NIPF) has been formed by adopting the constitution with aims and objects “To preserve, protect and promote the legitimate right and traditional values of the Naga Indigenous tribes of Nagaland.” A press release issued by the NIPF stated that the Forum Governing body meeting on July 9 has decided to organize a seminar on the topic of relevant issue of Indigenous peoples in the State of Nagaland by inviting resource persons from intellectual and scholar group. The members of the Governing Body are N. M Jamir Advocate; Imli Sangtam; Melie Nakro; Limaaküm Jamir; Dzüvinguzo Mepfüo; Metna Konyak; Zhevi Swu; Odi Jamir; Medongvi Rhakho; Wabanginla Advocate; S. Wabang Lkr; Adzuve; Lipoklemla; I. Noksang Lemtur; Abito Shohe; and S. T. Yapang Lkr. In the interim, NM Jamir, Advocate (9436604660) is the Chairman and Imli Sangtam, former Adviser, ENSF in the secretary.
