Mao Union Kohima condemns torching of houses  

Kohima, September 18 (MExN): The Mao Union Kohima (MUK) today condemned “in the strongest term the atrocious acts” of the armed volunteers of the Northern Maram Union (NMU) in the early hours of September 17. President, Mao Union Kohima H Dihe in a press release said the NMU armed miscreants attacked and locked up the innocent occupants inside and then set their houses on fire in Makhan Khuman under Tadubi police station, Senapati district, Manipur. The MUK opined that the “barbaric acts committed by the NMU was an extremely wrong approach” to resolving an issue and sent a wrong message to others at a time when “unity and peace is the need of the hour amongst the Nagas.”

 

AR to hold selection exam for aviation sector on September 20

Kohima, September 18 (MExN): Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) will be organizing a selection examination cum interview at Kohima on September 20 for students/youth to join the Aviation sector through Jet wings Institute. Aimed to provide job opportunities to approx 100-200 youth, candidates will be screened by Jet wings representatives and upon selection will undergo one year Diploma in Aviation, Hospitality and Cabin Crew Operations in Kohima. Kiphire DPDB meet

Kiphire, September 18 (MExN): The monthly Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB)  meeting for the month of September will be held on September 20 at Deputy Commissioner Office Conference Hall Kiphire, 11:00 am. In this regard, all concerned members have been informed to attend the meeting positively.

 

Dimapur Police apprehends 3

Dimapur, September 18 (MExN): Dimapur Police on September 17 apprehended three persons while extorting money from business establishment from River Belt Colony, Dimapur. As per a press note from  Addl Dy Commissioner of Police/PRO, the apprehended persons were – Hukheto Aye, Khapur of NSCN (U) of Niuland Dimapur; Akiguka Achumi, Rajepeu of NSCN(IM) of Akuluto, Zunheboto and Pito Assumi of VK Town, Zunheboto. . In this connection, a case has been registered at Dimapur West Police Station.

 

Zunheboto DPDB meet 

Zunheboto, September 18 (MExN): Zunheboto DPDB meeting for the month of October will be held on October 15, 11:00 am in the DC’s Conference Hall. Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto in a circular has requested all members to attend the meeting.
