NIIT parents-teachers meet today

Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): All the NIITians of Dimapur and their guardians have been informed to attend parents-teachers meet to be held on Tuesday, April 29 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm one by one. This was informed in a press release issued by the Head of Centre, NIIT Dimapur Centre, Imsurenla Imchen.

DDGWTU meeting on April 30

Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Dimapur District Garage Welfare Trade Union (DDGWTU) has convened a general emergency meeting on April 30, 10:00 am at its registered office, Purana Bazar, Dimapur. Therefore, all the registered garage owners have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

NMM and FMPB sign MoU

Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): The Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM) and Friends Missionary Prayer Band (FMPB) signed a “partnership agreement” on February 21, 2014. Secretary NEI, FMPB Dimapur, Yecto Chophy in a press release said that the MoU focuses mainly to identify common areas of cooperation, exchange, intervention and support in the field of evangelism for the extension of the kingdom, to plant vibrant churches in places where no church exists.

WSBAK Youth Special
Sunday observed


Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Sumi Baptist Church Purana Bazar Youth Department observed the WSBAK Youth Special Sunday (Lhothemi Akimichi Hoho) on April 27 under the theme “Amikuchou  Lhothemi”  (Righteous Youth). A press release from Abeto Shohe, Worship Committee member, informed that around one thousand youth attended the service. Mughayi Achumi, Youth Leader was the speaker. In his message, he encouraged the youth to live faithfully, be obedient to God and to their parents. He exhorted that, for people who obey God fully, they do not have to run for blessing, but the blessing will run after them. He also encouraged the youth to live a clean life in an unclean world. The praise and worship was led by Higher Praise worship team, special prayer was offered by Khetoi Shikhu, Assistant Pastor, SBAPB. The Youth Department has expressed gratitude to the church staff, participants and all the Youth Committee who assisted in various ways for the success of the programme.   

ANSWFSA elects new office bearers

Kohima, April 28 (MExN): The All Nagaland Social Welfare Field Staff Association (ANSWFSA) convened a general conference on April 25 at Red Cross Building, Kohima to deliberate on issues pertaining to service matters. T Khevito Shohe, director and his colleagues also exhorted the members during the meeting, a press release informed. Following members were elected/ selected as office bearers for the tenure 2014-2017: President – Renchano Odyuo; Vice president – Menoukrielie; General secretary – Chotangse Sangtam; Assistant general secretary – Nikuto Chishi; Treasurer – Sentimenla; Advisors – Bendang, Chirhotsey, and Yesumong Sangtam.   

NPYC condoles

Kohima, April 28 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has mourned the sudden demise of Tsansow Yanthan, GB, village council chairman of Longsachung and brother of Yankithung, former MLA & treasurer of NPCC on April 25 in Dimapur.  NPYC in a condolence message today expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

NWHD condemns

Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) has strongly condemned the rape attempt on a woman reportedly by one Nzamul Haque on April 25, 2014 in Dimapur. NWHD has appealed to the authority concerned not to release the culprit, but award severest penalty according to the law of the land.
