CM Chang condoles
Kohima, May 19 (MExN): Minister School Education C.M Chang has condoled the demise of Dr. R. Zinyu, the Vice-Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland at Kohima last Sunday. The Minister said, late Zinyu was a personal friend of mine over a long period of time and served the people of the state as a Doctor, Administrator and a committed social worker after his retirement from government service. He was a straightforward person and never tried to hide anything in his mind as he was courageous and had conviction. “His demise is not only a personal loss to me but the void created by his absence will be felt by all those who knew him closely. While praying for the departed soul to rest in peace, I and my family also pray to the Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family members to overcome from this period of grief,” Chang added.
DMC calls meeting
Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has convened a meeting with all the colony council chairman, secretary and GBs under DMC jurisdiction to discuss on the matter related to conduct of survey and assessment of the households for house numbering in connection with the collection and disposal of garbage of DMC area. The meeting will be held on May 27 at 12:00 noon in Town Hall, Dimapur. In this respect, all the area GBs and two representatives of each colony council are requested to attend the meeting on time.
Facility for treatment of Multi Drug Resistant TB
Mokokchung, May 19 (MExN): The facility for treatment of Multi Drug Resistant TB is now available at T.B & Chest Diseases Hospital, Mokokchung. This hospital will cater patients from the districts of Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Zunheboto as per the directive from RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program). This was informed in a press release issued by Dr. I Bendangla. Longkumer Medical Superintendent TB & Chest Diseases Hospital Mokokchung.
Inform on auto rickshaw driver’s uniform
Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The ‘flag-off’ programme for introducing of auto rickshaw driver’s uniform will be held on May 21 at 8:00 am at the Railway Station parking area premises. Deputy Commissioner Dimapur and Chairman RTA Dimapur, N Hushili Sema will chair the function while Superintendent of Police Dimapur, VZ Angami will deliver a short speech.
ZSU felicitation prog on May 24
Kohima, May 19 (MExN): Zhavame Students’ Union (ZSU) would be conducting felicitation programme for successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC on May 24, 1:00 pm at Hotel Ura near Red Cross Building, Kohima. Therefore, all the successful candidates, seniors and intellectuals have been requested to attend the programme.
