Dy CM Y Patton condoles
DIMAPUR, JUNE 21 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has condoled the death of Dr Arti Rajhans, mother of Jyoti Kalash, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland and Chief Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi.
In a condolence note, Patton said late Arti was a woman of extraordinary qualities, who balanced family and professional life, and her legacy will continue to inspire others.
The Deputy Chief Minister, on behalf of the Home department conveyed deepest sympathy and condolences to Jyoti Kalash and the bereaved family while praying for the departed to rest in peace.
KCCI condemns June 17 incident
DIMAPUR, JUNE 21 (MExN): The Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has condemned the recent act of vandalism at the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA HQs Kohima) and also inflicting trauma and threat upon the life of its general secretary at gunpoint on June 17.
Considering the damage caused and the nature of committing the whole act, the KCCI in a condemnation note said this type of crime should be thoroughly investigated and all out efforts made to book the perpetrators. It is incomprehensible that such act is being committed in a thriving society, it added.
Also pointing out that it has been receiving complaints and grievances on the rise of physical abuse and harassment meted out upon its trading community, the KCCI vowed it will not be tolerate any such acts in the future.
It has therefore appealed every right thinking citizen to condemn such abhorring crime and in the meantime urge the concerned authority and the law enforcing agency to book the culprits at the earliest.
Job fair on June 22 in Dimapur
