Nagaland: Over Rs 63 Crore allotted to State for road maintenance

KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 13 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton today informed that Rs 6330.92 Lakhs had been allotted to the State for road maintenance for the year 2018-19. The Deputy CM said this in response to a question at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly today. The fund has been allotted for road maintenance works at Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, Phek, Wokha, Zunheboto, Longleng, Kiphire, Peren and Noklak.

 

On land dispute between Sutsu, Laruri Village Mimi Circle
Meanwhile, replying to a starred question put up by MLA Yitachu on the present status of land dispute between Sutsu, Laruri Village Mimi Circle under Kiphire District, the Deputy CM stated that all parties concerned have agreed to decide the dispute through traditional oath taking and that the District Administration was working on the modalities and also to fix the date of oath taking.


Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio while supplementing to the question stated that oath taking is the last resort in Naga tradition and called on the community, church and leaders to resolve the matter amicably.
