Nagaland: RMSA self defense martial arts training begins

Kohima, April 10 (MExN): The first phase of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) self defense martial arts training (2017-18) in taekwondo, conducted by Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA), started on April 10 at IG Stadium, Kohima.

Speaking at the launching program, RMSA Mission Director, Limawabang hoped that the self defense martial arts training in taekwondo will help and benefit the teachers and later the teachers will go back and teach the students across the state.

He advised the teachers to be attentive, adding “Learn together and work together.” He also hinted that there might be “advanced courses” in taekwondo in the near future and urged upon the teachers to be prepared for that challenge.

The Mission Director also thanked the NTA for taking the trouble to train the teachers under RMSA.

NTA President, Pele Khezhie expressed gratitude to the RMSA for giving the opportunity to the Nagaland Taekwondo Association to train the basic techniques of the game of taekwondo to the school teachers in the state. He also said that the NTA wholeheartedly welcome the “teachers into the NTA family” so that they become the ambassadors of the game in Nagaland.

NTA Media Cell in a press release informed that altogether 82 teachers from Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren and Wokha districts are attending the training.

The second phase of the training for other districts will be held from April 17 to 22.
