Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): The Khurmi Region of NSCN (IM) has condemned the bomb blast at Chandel district HQ on November 13, which killed two Assam Rifles personnel and injured six others.
According to a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM), the Region condemned the act of attacking the Indian armed forces, which it said is “nothing but attacking the peaceful atmosphere of coexistence of different communities & instigating another armed conflict between the Naga & Indian forces, which otherwise is on the verge of finding an amicable solution to the more than 60 year old Indo-Naga conflict.”
The Khurmi Region, NSCN (IM) further stated that in Khurmi region despite its complexity & regardless of religion, caste, and tribe, people have lived harmoniously and peacefully together for years.
“The region authorities & all the law enforcing agencies are striving hard keeping law & order as their highest priority through cooperation from the people. The political nature of attacking Indian armed forces at a populated Naga area is nothing but a challenge to the Naga peoples’ movement & her national identity,” K Besui, the CAO of NSCN (IM) Khurmi Region said. It conveyed condolence to the families of the deceased personnel and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured personnel.
