Dimapur, July 1 (MExN): Pranab Vidyapith Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur observed its annual fresher’s day on July 1 in the School Auditorium. The programme began with the universal peace prayer which was followed with the floral tribute to the portrait of Acharya Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj, founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Srimat Swami Vijayanandaji Maharaj, founder President, Late Manik Bhattacharjee, founder Secretary and other founding pillars of the School.
The new faces of 2017 were welcomed heartily by Supriya Dey (Miss Fresher’s -2016) and Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj who in his speech highlighted the various yeoman’s service of Bharat Sevashram Sangha during these 100 glorious years. Principal, Monoj Bhattacharjee speaking on the occasion encouraged the freshers to study hard and to strive for the excellence and for a better placement in near future.
The main attraction of the event was Mr. and Miss Fresher’s, where as many as 25 freshers displayed their cultural and traditional styles, which added to the glamour of the Gala event. Talimoa and Britney were adjudged as Mr. and Miss Fresher of Pranab Vidyapith Hr Sec School (2017).
