Noklak, January 9 (DIPR): A programme was held on January 8 at Noklak Public Ground for the upgradation of Noklak sub division. Executive Secretary, KTCA. Rev. Noksa dedicated and unveiled the Monolith in the presence of Minister for Geology & Mining and Border Affairs, P. Longon.
The function was chaired by President KTC, L. Ngon.Short speeches were delivered by Minister, P. Longon, Former Minister, Pungon, Convener, Noklak District Demand Committee, W. Chuba, and President G.B. Union Noklak Area, Monglon. All the speakers expressed thankfulness to the Government of Nagaland for upgrading Noklak sub-Division to that of District Headquarter.
Special songs were presented by Pongkhao group and Mungthong Chai. Thousands of Khiamniungan citizens from various Villages under Noklak Area witnessed the inaugural function.
