Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): Union Budget 2019-20 has introduced Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme, 2019.
The aim of the scheme is to dispose substantial amount of legacy litigations in areas of Central Excise and Service Tax and also to enable voluntary disclosures from non-compliant taxpayers. The scheme is open from September 1 to 31.
The highlight of this scheme is total waiver of interest, penalty and fine, immunity from prosecution. The scheme also envisages relief upto 60% of the confirmed duty amount if the same is Rs. 50 lakhs or less and 40% in other cases.
