Sanuoru footbridge inaugurated

A newly constructed wooden footbridge of Sanuoru along New Secretariat road, Kohima, constructed by 4th NAP Battalion Thizama, was inaugurated here today. It was inaugurated by Kohima Village Council chairman Dr. Neiphi Kire.  

Dr. Kire lauded the 4th NAP Battalion for good job they have done for the people and hoped that through their tireless work the good relationship between the police and the public would improve.  

Dr. Kire stated that the footbridge links the most important places and appreciated the timely project rendered by the 4th NAP Battalion.  

He said that the police is always rendering their services to the people and expressed his happiness to the colony for jointly supporting the workers till the completion of the work.  

4th NAP commandant Vekhosa Kotso gave introductory remark and said that the bridge was built with voluntarily donation materials and financial support from every corner. He said that the intention of building the footbridge is to bring people closer to each other and show good relationship. The commandant stated that the work was done by deploying 30 police forces and that the bridge is 97 ft by 6 ft.
