SOLVSE opens second centre in Nagaland

Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): School of Lifestyle, Vocational Skill Enhancement (SOLVSE), an initiative of The People Channel, opened its second centre in Nagaland at Tuli on November 23. The centre will operate from Yimkümmer House in partnership with Yimkümmer Welfare Society.  

Lanu Tsuknung Temsu Lemtur, entrepreneur & businessman, who was the guest of honour, lauded The People Channel and Yimkümmer Welfare Society for opening its centre in Tuli and encouraged the gathering to avail the opportunity of enhancing their skills and all-round personal development. He challenged the youth to come out of the comfort of shouting on social media, change themselves and see the change in the society, informed a press release. He also shared his personal journey of failures and how he has learned from all of them.  

Allen Imsong, Chairman of Yimkümmer Welfare Society, shared the history and highlights of the society. Yimkümmer Welfare Society, which has been working for the society for many years, is tying up with The People Channel to have their practical ministry come to fruition, the release stated. The society not only focuses on the spiritual well being of an individual, but also believes in the economic upliftment of the people, it added. An annual event called IGNITE is organized every year where a spiritual-cum-motivational camp is conducted to help the youth professionally and spiritually. The training will begin with Tourism, Aviation, and Hospitality sector followed by other rural & urban economic initiatives.   Rozelle Mero, Managing Director of The People Channel, presented the highlights of TPC; the initial struggles and how it has become one of the pioneers in Tourism & Hospitality industry not only in the North East region but in the country. Without much support from the government and amid the numerous challenges, the human resource development agency has successfully trained and impacted over 30000 candidates, it was informed. She added that thousands of candidates are now working with high-end companies in India and abroad.  

Kekhro Mero, alumni of TPC and who is now working as faculty, shared his experience of working with a renowned name in the hospitality industry. Aienla Ao, who also got placement through The People Channel and now working as an instructor, too shared her experience of working in the aviation industry. They both narrated the challenges of living outside the State and how to overcome them.  

The People Channel is affiliated with the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Council and training partner for the National Skill Development Corporation and partners for the pilot project of PMKVY 2 since 2016.
