St Xavier's Church Kidima observes Mission Sunday

Kohima, october 21 (MExN): St Xavier's Catholic Church Kidima observed Mission Sunday along with rest of the world with Reverend Father Raymond D'Souza SJ, Director of Eden Garden and Children’s Home, Khuzama, Nagaland, India on October, 21 at the church premises.  

Reverend Father Raymond D'Souza SJ in his homily said the first missionaries were Apostles, a press release from P. Tepekrovi Kiso stated. The disciples were healing the sick in the name of Jesus where Jesus Christ himself asked them to rejoice for their name written in heaven, Father D'Souza added.  

Father called upon the gathering to bring people closer to God through prayer, love and selfless service. He asked the faithful for generous contribution for missionary. Enchanting gloria, reading the word of God, confession, sharing the body and blood of Jesus and with incarnation of Mother Mary were the highlights of the daylong celebration of sacred feast. Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels, Xavier and Christi, a special guest from Goa were also joined in the liturgy ceremony.
