Shamator, December 15 (MExN): The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) organized the three day long Christmas Carnival at Public Ground, Shamator from December 12 to 14. The carnival was organized by the District Administration.
Some of the prominent features of the event include ward wise competitions such as dance, drawing & painting, carol, and singing, besides Musical Night by Jazz Band 45 Assam Rifles and various Carnival Stalls and Exhibition were part of the event.
The first day of the event was hosted by Achimla Mono, while Rev R Thsankiu Pastor Shamator Town Baptist Church invoked God's blessing.
Slu-i T Lankonsen Tsanglao Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shamator briefed the key note address and special number was presented by Ayimla Thutan.
The opening event witnessed the inauguration of Christmas Carnival Stall by Chief Guest Brig. SK Sheoran SM DIG 7 Sector Assam Rifles Tuensang followed by presentation of musical night by Jazz Band 45 Assam Rifles Shamator.
The second day event was hosted by Akita Z Thsanso while invocation was pronounced by Rev Fr Tomy Kallorombel Principal St Xavier School Shamator. The valedictory event was co-hosted by Solumba and Thsantsumong while invocation was pronounced by Khalenmew Mission Secretary YBBA.
The closing event had also witnessed Bible Recitation by Florence & Robert and Dance presentation, and singing competition. The Guest of Honor Col. Mohit Singh SM Commandant 45 Assam Rifles Shamator also presented parting addressed during the valedictory session followed by prize distribution.
